The narrative approach to evangelism utilized an inductive presentation of scriptural and non-scriptural stories to prompt multi-dimensional conversion among hearers.  A twelve-member experimental group participated in training in the fall of 1989.  A twelve-member control group did not participate.  Pretest and posttest surveys and other instruments were used to evaluate the effects of training. Participants increased their understanding of the gospel as narrative and multi-dimensional conversion. The author proves the scriptual validity for church outreach to the upwardly mobile and then explains how a nine-member task force of young adults developed an outreach ministry to this segment in its community through their Sunday School department.  Included is a sociological and psychological study of upwardly mobile baby boomers and the types of churches that successfully reach them. Twenty adults who are mentally handicapped, as well as the congregation, participated in the project activities. The research instruments included interviews and questionnaires. Four formation sessions were conducted as an attempt to discover and address the faith needs of each person, followed by four worship services addressing those needs. The project grew out of questioning the policy of political neutrality as required by the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention on behalf of its missionaries.  Case studies, literary research, and interviews conclude that political neutrality is impossible, unbiblical, and undesirable.  A symbolic model for social change was developed.  The Foreign Mission Board, as a result of this project, revised its policy on political neutrality. The writer conducted an eight-week worshop for fourteen students.  The validity of the workshop was studied through the use of pretests and posttests for the workshop group and a control group.  The writer completed a statistical analysis of the workshop using t-tests. The project utilized a training seminar and an evalution of the program based upon how it effected the participants.  A pretest and posttest questionnaire sought to measure changes in attitudes and motivation toward relational evangelism. A final questionnaire was administered to evaluate the seminar.  Four weeks later participants were interviewed to discover influences of the training.  Seven sessions dealt with discovering, developing, and renewing relationships. Two final sessions focused on methods of Gospel sharing. The participants displayed improved attitudes toward personal evangelism and a marked increase in their level of involvement. Chapter 1 described the goals, background, methodology, and meaning of prayer.  Chapter 2 provided the biblical-theological rationale.  The call to prayer, examples of prayer, and models of prayer were considered. Chapter 3 discussed the ministry aspect.  It involved eight weekly sessions of instruction followed by five weeks devoted to the sharing of prayer.  Chapter 4 described the research process.  The study group, control group, research design, hypothesis, variables, and evaluative components were discussed. Chapter 5 involved an evaluation of the program.
