Research for the project was completed through interviews of parish members, of area Lutheran clergy and of pastors who had served Christ the King congregation and their family members. The initial data were generated by a questionnaire specifically designed and directed to the fourteen congregational owners.  A provincial status was then developed and circulated, accompanied by a survey validation document. Utilizing scriptural studies, in-class discussion, communication exercises, assignments for application of principles in the home, and inventories and counseling materials from ENRICH, couples were led to: develop greater awareness of strengths and weaknesses; develop greater empathy between spouses; encourage a positive, growth-oriented attitude toward the marital relationship; and promote better spousal communication. A clear definitive understanding and use of Biblical typology is needed.  This is met through an exegetical analysis of the New Testament passages where a type is used in a hermeneutical sense.  From this study a definition of biblical typology is formulated.
