The rationale for writing this project is introduced in chapter 1.  Chapter 2 presents a wide-angle view of how the project fits into various essential perspectives in the world Christian movement.  Chapter 3 describes the model and explains its implementation.  The results of the model's implementation are recorded in Chapter 4 as the model's building blocks become manifest. Using formative evaluative research, seven steps in developing the model included one initial implementation, plus evaluations and revisions.  The final model includes a description of the brief assessment process and criteria on which to base the clergy assessment.  Findings supported, but did not prove, the usability and effectiveness of the model. As a result, more people would volunteer to help others and there would be qualitative and quantitative church growth. This study is based mainly on library research. Converted in 1910, 95 per cent of the Hmars are now Christians, and the majority of them, according to the author, are still tradition-oriented.  The paper gives a biblical response to such beliefs and practices.  The method includes case studies, interviews, phone calls and personal letters. Its theological conviction is that the incarnational shape of Jesus' life should also be the shape of the church's ministry: a ministry that is of the whole people of God, guided by its public servants.  The project was also built upon the psychological/sociological thesis that lay helpers can have significant outcomes in their peer counseling.
