The actions of the students - serving at the soup kitchen, tutoring, or visiting women in prison contributed to the growth of justice transformation. In eight learning sessions, church leaders studied demographic changes in the student population, revealing that the established concept of the ages, needs, and goals have changed drastically.  After surveying ministry needs and opportunities, church leaders presented their findings to the congregation. First Baptist Church (Henderson, Kentucky) heard a series of sermons on prayer and attended a prayer seminar.  In addition to these, a selected small group studied various aspects of private prayer during seven weekly meetings. The project will be conducted over an eight-week period.  The students will read collateral readings prior to each session, and interact with a reading-discussion guide which is designed to focus attention on the specific principles to be learned.  The project will be evaluated by means of a pre-test and a post-test, which will be given to those in the project group and a group of students of similar ability who will not engage in the project.
