The program laid an infrastructure for workers, communicated the need, and recruited workers for ministry by assisting church members in overcoming barriers that hindered them from becoming involved.  Both scriptural teachings and motivational theories were considered when developing this strategy. Scripture was presented that demonstrated how men of faith often wrestled with fulfilling God's plan. On the basis of scripture, it is demonstrated that God has both created people for ministry as well as shapes them through spiritual gifts, heart burdens, abilities, personality, and experiences. A seminar is outlined which helps Christians identify their God-given design. It drew on bodies of literature from Twelve Step traditions, addiction and shame, Object Relations Theory, and Roman Catholic pastoral tradition.  Results showed that the model/program was very helpful to participants. To deal with these relationships, four intermarried cases are examined: Korean wife-Thai American husband (husband-wife relationship), Korean wife-Japanese American husband (parent-child relationship); Korean wife-Caucasian American husband (siblings' relationship); and Korean wife-Filipino American husband (in-law relationship).  These intermarried cases show problems and characteristics of the four major relationships in the family. In order to understand the issue posed by these four family relationships, important concepts of the theory and therapy of Murray Brown are explored.
