The program is designed to help the women find ways to break out of their past lifestyles and to substantially transform their spirituality and orientation to life.  Thirty-two women -- Roman Catholic, Protestant, Wiccan, Muslim, Native American -- completed the first module. There was a need to create a new financial management system, restore confidence from the congregation, and inspire the congregation for continued growth. Not only did this situation impede the growth of the congregation, but also there was a concern regarding the role of the board of trustees in the management of the church's finances over against the board of stewards' role regarding church finances. The members were inspired to participate by preaching four sermons and conducting three four-hour seminars on three consecutive Sundays from March through April 2002.  The prayer meetings were conducted successfully in nearly 20 homes over a five-week period.  Members were able to attend any prayer meeting through the week at 7:30 p.m. from Sunday through Wednesday in the homes or at the church. While the primary purpose of the paper was to validate and encourage the use of art illustrations in preaching, the expected result was not achieved.  The failed result was due to art illustrations being unfamiliar to the majority of congregations.  This would be an attempt to clarify the unfamiliar or abstract with another unfamiliar or abstract point. The method of research was pro-active. The researcher is a chaplain who deploys with the troops so what is experienced by the soldiers also affects the researcher. The study results are designed to enhance soldier readiness on a spiritual level. Methods of research included case study, reflection and exegesis, and involved attention in the areas of genogramic analysis, ethics, and ecclesiastical models. The project resulted in a new strategic plan, a training manual for mission workers, the establishment of an endowment fund, and a draft personnel policy manual. Where two or more are gathered together as the Body of Christ there are differing opinions and the potential for conflict. The author researched the biblical, theological and spiritual perspectives of the process and ministry of reconciliation. The research culminated in a study of reconciliation with members of a non-conflictual church. The result of the study was two-fold. The participants acquired a detailed definition and understanding of the process of reconciliation from a personal perspective as well as within the church. He demonstrates how ministers formerly seldom conducted funerals. A study of current liturgical books gives the official church funeral view, with discussion for whom the worship exists. The key phrases 'soul' and 'resurrection' are reviewed. He provides the basis and results of a local questionnaire to ascertain what people believe and desire of funerals, and concludes that there is indeed a secularizing in both beliefs and expectations of funerals.
