The leaders were trained to accomplish these purposes by learning a transitioning process which emphasized effective teamwork. The process of accomplishing the purpose of the project began with researching transitional approaches which have been used to transition Bible study groups into cell groups. Research focused on transitional methods that assist in changing from existing organizational structures into new organizational structures. The next stage of the project involved developing training materials for the purpose of equipping selected leaders to transition their small groups from Bible study small groups into purpose-driven, team-based cell groups. The materials were developed using a defined standard that is described in William R. Yount's book entitled Created to Learn. The final stage of the project involved the recruitment and training of selected Bible study leaders. All current Bible study leaders were invited to participate in the training process. The selected leaders who were trained consisted of those who agreed to attend all training sessions. It explores use of narrative theory as a pedagogical approach, a model for theological reflection, and a method for facilitation of group process. It explores how the framework of narrative and social construction enhances interest generated learning that is technical, practical, and emancipatory (Mezirow's Transformational Learning Theory); learning in relation to thinking, feeling, and behaving (Corey's Group Process Theory); and theological reflection (Tillich and Liberation theorists). Relation, meaning, sanctification, and empowerment are considered in the development of this pastoral theology."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799718749307142144,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:39:07.969Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:27:43Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:13:59Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"97b55965-1cfd-44fd-ae75-85db02dd5a70","accessControl_ssim":["70aa4dc1-bf25-402d-9966-1e61a4f22ba9"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Developing and training a conflict mediation team for the Northwest Georgia Baptist Association"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:27:42Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:33:57Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["fa707bea-541f-4bc0-978d-57cbcc77270d"],"hasLease_ssim":["53ee703d-478a-4c9a-ae84-12ea80579056"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Jerry N Barlow"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Edgar L Johnson"],"keyword_tesim":["Congregations--Internal conflict"],"publisher_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Northwest Georgia Baptist Association","Mediation","Baptists","Congregations","Conduct of life--Biblical teaching","Conflict management"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this project was to develop and train a Conflict Mediation Team within the Northwest Georgia Baptist Association, which includes all of Walker County and part of Catoosa County, Georgia. Iconography was the spiritual discipline used for this exploration. The author, an ordained Protestant woman, used three icons of the Virgin Mary to help discover whether Mary could be a gateway to the feminine aspect of God. By using iconography, journaling and scriptural reflection facets of a 'softer' God did appear. However, the personality of Mary herself became the dominant feature, re-affirming, for the author, Mary's importance and raising questions about how this importance can be reclaimed by the Protestant Church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131036029026305,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:41:06.379Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":413,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
