The model outlines the procedures, through questions, exercises and reflections that will help a liberal church, which has already affirmed the right for homosexuals to participate fully in their congregation, to uncover the diversity of opinion that exists within that congregation. That diversity may include those who do not agree with every aspect of homosexuality and this model is designed to life that up and promote dialogue about it. The research method incorporates library research, interviews and questionnaires. The design of the model uses theology, current transformational models, the church context where the research is done, and reflection. The conclusions find that much more diversity exists in this liberal church than thought and that could be significant in moving the process of including homosexuals beyond a vote to an intentional, continuing process of acceptance within any church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7e2d3cb-fc51-4ba5-a7fd-d43f3f8c150b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131829603926016,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:53:43.191Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:25:34Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:53:55Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"4be01602-2328-44be-91c3-25cde7b500b0","accessControl_ssim":["ffae67a2-bb5f-4ed0-9eea-78027249c984"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["An approach to achieving effective Korean Methodist Church organization: an application of organization development theory"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:25:33Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:21:39Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["fcca87bf-20c8-4a42-b259-0ff4165e4893"],"hasLease_ssim":["eaaa5bf6-8c2d-454e-ba1d-e0ab87612316"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Scott Cormode"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Kwang Seog Oh"],"publisher_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Organizational change","Kidokkyo Taehan Kamnihoe"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study examines the model of Organization Development Theory (ODT) and applies it to church management of the Korean Methodist Church (KMC) to enable individual churches to meet more effectively the challenges that churches experience within their changing context. Through three sermons about difficult issues the author will illustrate how the sermon can have a meaning for this question. The thesis is that a sermon does make visible people who think they are invisible. The author focused on four aims when preaching sermons on invisible subjects in order to make them visible: (1) to make visible the reasons for bringing up subjects considered as invisible, (2) to understand and explain the underlying structures of the reasons to this invisibility, (3) to attain a Christian attitude towards the fear that people have to make invisible subjects visible, and change them into trust and faith, and (4) to work for a reorientation and a new way of thinking regarding the invisible questions that people for some reason may have."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["d722638c-a7e2-43f3-93ff-4762bde0dde7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133798080970752,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:25:00.477Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:24:36Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:40:41Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"efd737fa-417a-4c60-850e-74e65c4b7590","accessControl_ssim":["aac62992-098f-4aa0-974e-ad280b77c408"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The effectiveness of multisensory communication in worship"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:24:36Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:58:47Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["3cff7d2e-4633-405a-8f20-011ba51c7f3f"],"hasLease_ssim":["7d1ef95d-9dcd-4b19-9f03-b1e616522032"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Asbury Theological Seminary"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Lester Ruth"],"publisher_tesim":["Asbury Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Senses and sensation","Worship--Study and teaching","Communication"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study focused on the combination of audiovisual (sight and sound) and other sensory communication (Touch, taste, smell) used in context of a thematic worship service sponsored by a large membership church in Bel Air, Maryland.
