The thesis is an attempt to be a resource for hands on training to make this preaching a lifelong task.  The thesis begins with chapter one outlining the need for Christ-centered or Gospel preaching.  Chapter two supplies the theological basis for Christ-centered preaching.  Chapter four sets out the homiletics course focussed on a '5C Gospel grid': clarity of the whole, coherence of the parts, correspondence of salvation themes, centering on Christ and challenging with Christ.  The course is based on the sermons in Acts as a pattern of Christ-centered preaching. This was done with a view of finding ways to improve it and make it more effective, both in communicating content as well as motivating the students to personally apply the truths learned. Use was made of focus groups to evaluate the effectiveness of the prepared curriculum. Los resultados de la investigación han permitido apoyar la hipótesis de investigación: la carencia en el SETECA de un método consistente para administrar el cambio organizacional le dificulta a su personal la asimilación de los cambios. By many statistical reports this is the least likely group to be in worship on Sunday. There seems to be a disconnection with this group when it comes to corporate worship times and other church-related activities, although this group has many indicators that point to spiritual desire. The worship offerings, in particular, seem to be failing when it comes to attracting this age group. The project introduces a discovery model based upon survey, interviews, and observation that attempts to look at two recent developments in worship which seem to be attracting this 18-35 year-old age group. The two different worship styles were functioning at the two churches that were studied in this project. These two services, contemporary and modern multi-sensory, were used to compare and contrast the effectiveness of attracting and producing a level of participation within the targeted age group. The two most important findings were: first, the contemporary worship service was of greater importance in the lives of the surveyed groups than the multi-sensory worship service. Yet the surveyed group from the multi-sensory worship indicated they were much more participative in the life of the church than the contemporary group. Shiloh is an old, traditional, southern black Baptist institution whose historical prominence emerged because of her dynamic Christian education ministry, of which Sunday School had dwindled to nil.  Eager to revitalize the Christian education ministry and energize the persons of auxiliaries and ministry leaders, the pastor petitioned to boost a dying ministry.  An initiative involving all church leaders was launched to address the Christian education needs of Shiloh.  The timeline for this project was originally six weeks, but developed into an additional seven weeks to more effectively meet the objectives of the project.  Phase I of the project focused on assessing the Christian education ministry, defining roles and leadership training. Phase II specifically concentrated on Sunday School teacher training centered on biblical background knowledge, Christian doctrine, teaching methods and addressed a variety of learning styles.
