Membership decline has been steady and unrelenting. Yet, for a few more years, members remain who can remember a time when this branch of God's Church was vibrant and healthy. Art, in most forms, has been an underutilized resource in the Reformed Tradition. This project was an attempt to explore one approach to using art in the church in an effort to stimulate memory for the purpose of discovering ways that the church might recover its sense of health and vitality. Through this ministry tool, photography was employed to create a communal project that took the form of an exhibition within a local church. A questionnaire was then used to sample the responses of viewers of this exhibit. These responses revealed a wealth of memories and experiences. Conclusions were drawn from these responses for the purpose of strengthening the church and the The Church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799720465076322304,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:06:24.254Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:51:32Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:11:34Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f73983a4-cd1f-4b7d-92aa-5038db7e4fa7","accessControl_ssim":["9f83a162-43b4-482b-bb60-1b07b7dd21fa"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A training model for empowering servant leaders in the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:51:31Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:11:58Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["485e8e7f-0dc2-4ed1-8f42-ed5618eaa3b6"],"hasLease_ssim":["e2e4ae46-d69d-4533-9bdf-b1cd1a1fc8bb"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Lewis A Parks"],"year_tesim":["2008"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. She asked the question: could she create a standard training curriculum for the officers/leaders of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church that would serve as a prototype for other churches of the Free Will denomination? First, survey questionnaires that asked about the ministry selection process and required qualifications for this selection were sent to churches participating in the study. The data was collected, compared and contrasted with other researched information. She developed a training model, piloted the proposed model, and made an oral presentation. The author used the additional feedback to report the results, recommendations, and limitations of a formal structural leadership training program."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799720790609887232,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:11:34.707Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:51:03Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:37:19Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f6b62d9e-b2c6-4776-8f26-a37689c56455","accessControl_ssim":["8eb31d6e-d0b0-4603-9549-2a091cd9b473"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Empowering and transforming lay leadership through the leadership development process of Via de Cristo"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:51:02Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:10:47Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["1a40db7d-a5ad-453c-8bc1-fd58ed1c8f02"],"hasLease_ssim":["a9d903b9-ed8c-4da7-8127-f98a4991bee8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Lewis A Parks"],"year_tesim":["2008"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The root of this is a lack of healthy teamwork due to an unclear understanding of the doctrines of the church (Universal Priesthood of All Believers) and the Pastoral Office. The author explores the leadership development process from Via de Cristo, known to the United Methodist Church as Walk to Emmaus and to the Roman catholics as Cursillo. Within this movement a healthy teamwork is exhibited by both laity and clergy.
