Because of the resistance and difficulties they face in the ministry job market many of these women are expressing anger and disillusionment with the church and with God. Some are even entertaining the idea of walking away from their faith altogether. An understanding of congregational conflict is sought in the small church set in the rural (town and country) community. Ten principles are identified for cultivating the preacher's spiritual health so they are prepared to preach. Sixteen principles are identified for sculpting the preacher's message to manage conflict from the pulpit. Points of emphasis included a rationale for the large percentage of its African American students and the opportunity the DCP-CMN program had to equip alumni to reach the Pittsburgh region's unreached peoples-especially its international students. Interviews described servant-leaders who exemplified the categories found in Jenning's and Stahl-Wert's book, The Serving Leader. The study concluded that, overall, the DCP-CMN program fulfilled Geneva College's Mission Statement. The author proposes a biblical, Christ-centered approach for understanding PSTD and finding healing. Biblical templates challenge traditional psychological interventions and pose the possibility of new constructs for understanding trauma. The author developed and administered a 23-item questionnaire to 165 recent combat veterans and conducted 30 interviews of soldiers who have served in either Iraq or Afghanistan.
