A survey to measure the response of participants to that presentation was administered and the results of that survey tabulated. The author reviews biblical passages and other literature related to worship to support the proposition. He uses a case study of corporate worship gatherings at three churches in the Northwestern United States. Site visits, interviews and surveys suggest how God-centered corporate worship motivates people to grow as followers of Jesus Christ. The thesis identifies elements that consistently serve the biblical functions of worship. The research included surveys and interviews of people in these churches. The findings revealed the behaviors that build trust in these churches are: character, consistency, caring, communication and competency. The results also indicated that behaviors that decrease trust in these churches are: breaking promises, pride, lack of respect, lack of communication and incompetency. The project surveyed short-term mission trip participants to discover the spiritually forming elements of the trip. This data was used to form a strategy that was then presented to a panel of eight experts for their evaluation. As a result, the evaluation by the panel of experts validated the strategy according to issues that revitalize a local church. Its purpose is to explore the cause and effect of pastoral burnout in the black Baptist church of the New Era State Baptist Convention of Georgia. It gathers questionnaire data from pastors within the state convention. The data collected and analyzed confirms discovery of the cause and effect for the state convention. A quesionnaire was used to ascertain the degree to which pastors and lay leaders depend on the Spirit. While today's leadership lacks a full understanding of the Holy Spirit, there appears to be a growing openness to explore the depths of this seemingly neglected, but equally authoritative part of the Trinity. The goal was to enhance the awareness of congregants and members of the surrounding community to better understand the problems and issues regarding ministry to the incarcerated and their families. The data were collected and analyzed from three workshops conducted to evaluate the pre and post understanding of participants pertaining to incarceration. First, this project reviews important historical markers in the development of Baptist theological education, making particular note of significant changes which have occurred in the past twenty years.Second, this project reviews recent research, by making use of data collected through orientation surveys, institutionally held demographic statistics, Association of Theological Schools (ATS) reports, phone interviews with institutions, and other publicly available research. The third part of this project draws on research in the areas of higher education, generational theory, marketing and organizational theory to help reveal ways institutions of theological education may evolve in order to adapt to changing cultural contexts.
