Data was collected through a written survey of pastors and through interviews with eight pastors involved in the same group.  The research demonstrated that they were drawn together by a core unity of belief and similarity of pastoral calling.  Their longevity as a group has been primarily through the group size, the nurturing of relationships, a baseline of common belief, and a commonality of job description. He explored how a traditional congregation introduces and fosters faith play in the lives of those who are new in their faith, as well as help people of faith discover how play is essential in every phase of spiritual formation. This study presents perspectives on self-awareness, identifies instruments for self-awareness and elaborates on the history, research conclusions and the benefits of self-awareness using the Arno Profile System.  A case study is presented to provide a report of the specific work with ten clergy and their responses to the Arno Profile System. Second, mission is described with eight viral factors that caused the spontaneous expansion of the early church. Third, the researcher created strategies to maximize the traits of the generations by reviewing which traits are leverageable or prohibitive related to the viral factors. Generational entelechies are discovered and generational cultures are defined to build a whole-church multi-generational missional culture. Through careful attention to and practice of voice, facial expressions, and body movements, a preacher can not only increase the effectiveness of their sermons, but a preacher can also find their own voice in preaching.  This conclusion was reached following two years of work on the performative aspects of preaching. Because the emphasis of their education and practice is on the needs of their patients and families, these students often have little time to reflect on the profound theological questions that suffering evokes.  This project addresses the concern that in the process of dealing with profound suffering in their patients, nursing students do not receive adequate support for their own spiritual formation.  Using phenomenological methodology, eleven senior baccalaureate nursing students were interviewed about their experiences with patients who were suffering.  The results of the interviews were analyzed, and four themes emerged: the importance of preparation, the need to acknowledge the reality of the situation, the significance of obtaining support, and the necessity of self care.
