A brief comprehension of AAP-A clergy couples' uniqueness is presented. Spiritual formation, conservatism, and expressive love are matters of concern for AAP-A clergy couples facing marital anxiety. The biblical theme of expressive love is the framework for understanding the personhood in need and key to marital health. Family systems theories support biblical principles to formulate a counseling approach that elucidates expressive love. It concludes there are three essentials: prayer, faith, and proclaiming the gospel. Any diminishment of the sanctifying and salvific influences of God's Spirit during the sermon is traced to a loss of one of these. This Pentecostal church is primarily composed of immigrants mostly from Africa and the Caribbean Islands. After struggling to establish a small group ministry, the congregation and leaddership were consulted through conversations, interviews and surveys resulting in a more flexible, focused, and situation-sensitive model. The purpose of this small group ministry is to build a community of disciples nurtured by Bible study and prayer, connected with the church through their leaders, who minister to the needs of those within and beyond the group. Nine woven garments were completed and have been shared in four ministry contexts. The author's understanding of redemption was expanded by liberation theologians. The beatitudes and fruit of the Spirit proved to be a strong foundation for the work of art. With the population decline and aging of the Upper Midwest, many congregations are no longer able to support full-time ordained pastors. Congregations of several denominations have pressed into service licensed local pastors, and other lay persons to preach. United Methodist preachers serving in rural parishes in Iowa were coached in various aspects of preaching. The author researched biblical texts, church history and contemporary evidence in order to examine the relationship between revival and preaching Scripture. A series of twelve sermons and interaction with a focus group in the author's church formed the immediate context in which the project was carried out. The context for this project is a small town in Ohio that has been struggling with its identity and solidarity. The hypothesis was tested using a workshop, sermons, personal testimonials, and questionnaires. The interviews, workshops, classes and forums addressed the issues that hindered eligibility with community agencies. The project focus was to develop a collaborative model on how to educate the community on the illnesses and symptoms associated with homelessness when internal church conflicts erupt. The mixed methodology was used to obtain the results through pre-test, post-test, questionnaires, personal interviews, and a focus group. The findings suggested that most participants did respond to being educated on the illnesses associated with homelessness.
