These churches developed new strategies to minister to college age students in their churches. A training session educated the pastors about the beliefs of college students and how to minister to them. The pastors were given evangelism experience on the UNLV campus. An evaluation meeting was conducted about their findings. Six sermons were preached from Paul's Epistle to the Colossians for the thesis author's Community Presbyterian Church, Edison, New Jersey. Church members served on two evaluative teams. Research focused on Colossians scholarship; Christology from dogmatic and Pauline theology; expository and doctrinal preaching issues; and listener response.  Questionnaires tested knowledge of Pauline teachings; in-depth reviews of the 2006 sermons; and 2008 follow-up on personal application of Pauline teachings and evaluation of subsequent sermons. Many ministries have wholeheartedly embraced Internet technology through websites, blogs, live chats and a myriad of other applications. While thoughtful people have offered biblical perspective both endorsing and warning against this trend, there continues to be much need to carefully think about how new technologies can come alongside various aspects of ministry in a way that maximizes their benefits and minimizes their inherent dangers. This project explores how the Internet can enhance the impact of a preaching ministry by providing a forum to discuss the content of a sermon after it has been delivered. The author reflects on his own leadership experiences, bibliographic sources, and research interviews with fourteen mega-church senior pastors from across America. The conclusions of this study suggest that biblical teamwork occurs when the cause of Christ is advanced in the contet of loving community. A herald is one commissioned and sent by another to speak his message in his behalf to a recipient. A divine herald is one commissioned and sent by a deity to speak a divine message to the people of the deity's choosing. Thus, a preacher is one who comes to understand the text of Scripture, and therefore grasps the message of God, and is then commissioned and sent to speak his message to God's people. His competence and success is dependent on his faithfulness to accomplish this duty. Postmodernism may be a new culture, but the nature of preaching has not changed. The primary goal of the study was to identify methods that are working to initiate and retain Chinese returnees in RFGs. Qualitative field research consisted of semi-structured interviews conducted in China with eighteen members of City A and City B RFGs.
