Chapter 1 presented the purpose, goals, and methodology for the project. Chapter 2 exposed the modern crisis in Christian ecclesiology and provided a cure through a renewed understanding of God's purposes for the local church as indicated in the Great Commission. Chapter 3 aimed to improve sermon application in expository preaching. Chapter 4 outlined the sermons used in the project, described the various surveys and feedback groups, and presented the project's schedule. Chapter 5 offered an analysis of the project. This dissertation has three hypotheses. (1) There is an association between parental feelings of failure and coping with adolescent rebellion. (2) There is an association between parental feelings of guilt and coping with adolescent rebellion. (3) There is an association between parental feelings of blame and coping with adolescent rebellion. The Family Values Questionnaire was given to eight families of various compositions, each unit contained least one parent and one adolescent rebelling against the family's values and beliefs. This has led to a large void in leadership within churches and ministries as well as a disconnection between the local church and seminaries. To answer the research questions, qualitative research methods were used, specifically methodological triangulation: a questionnaire was disseminated to one group, and interviews were conducted with two other groups of prayer ministers. The instruments were developed for data collection. A pilot study was conducted ensuring reliability and validity; adjustments were made accordingly. A sound biblical exposition of Luke 4:18 by the researcher reveals the poor primarily as the spiritual poor, but does not exclude economic conditions. The image that some Christian leaders have of digital technology and social media is that it is unnecessary, is a waste of time, and is fraught with potential dangers. Similar to most emerging technologies, dangers to exist; however, an opportunity to expand exponentially the influence of a disciple maker through digital technology and social media also exists. This dissertation will document a digital=discipleship experiment that was conducted in the writer's church for one month. It will describe the theological foundation for discipleship. Further, it will test the results of the digital-discipleship experiment with spiritual inventories, which were conducted before and after the experiment. The results demonstrated that digital technology is an asset to discipleship.
