This thesis seeks to address this reality. First, it listens to the witness of women and genderqueer people about their own complex bodies, identitites, and experiences, treating these as primary theological text. Second, it employs a matrix for theological reflection, engaging the positive, negative, creative, and transformative aspects of embodiment and sexuality in order to create a liberative, eschatological vision. Finally, it utilizes movement building theory to suggest how such an eschatological vision is critical to the task of transformative work and ministry in this historical moment."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799715645003137024,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:49:47.474Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:25:23Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:52:23Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2a2e14d0-33d3-4ec9-b651-fc8a604bf8b6","accessControl_ssim":["32b51484-21e0-490d-ac92-d54f59b7dbd8"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Moving Good News Club children beyond conversion to obedient biblical discipleship"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:25:20Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:22:00Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["8dd20471-0a19-45cf-bde5-a815b68bc96e"],"hasLease_ssim":["38581876-02c3-499f-aa77-be35cea07d3a"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Matthew B Queen"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"location_tesim":["Texas--Fort Worth"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jeffrey G Kolk"],"keyword_tesim":["Evangelistic work--Methods","Practice (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Discipling (Christianity)","Christian education of children","Children--Religious life","Christian education--Teaching methods","Child Evangelism Fellowship"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This dissertation traces the development and implementation of a plan to assist the greater Fort Worth chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in fulfilling its purpose to disciple children through Good News Clubs. First, this dissertation demonstrates God's preparatory activity in general revelation. The first voyagers to Hawaii had a general knowledge of a supreme being. Second, this dissertation demonstrates God's use of historical events to present special revelation to the Hawaiians through the missionaries of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. Finally, this dissertation demonstrates the application of research findings toward the writer's present ministry at Puna Baptist Church. These research findings will revitalize Puna Baptist Church's evangelistic strategy. The new evangelistic strategy will utilize the historical fact that the first Hawaiian voyagers had a general knowledge of a later monotheistic supreme being, and this evangelistic strategy will reveal that the religious system was imposed upon the Hawaiians by a foreign entity. The research findings in this dissertation will revitalize the church's focus on discipleship and its assimilation process."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133206925279232,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:15:36.707Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:24:53Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:49:39Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"1116b41f-8c33-4782-9b04-1d28ac56d08a","accessControl_ssim":["6192be0d-6986-416c-83fe-9817f971dfb3"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Theological anthropology: an evangelical defense of the doctrine of the human soul"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:24:50Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:37:11Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["aa044e63-dd85-4417-b974-334a9b3c11a8"],"hasLease_ssim":["b4eb02b5-5160-44fe-ad3d-2e4a05d286a3"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Thomas H Kiker"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["David A Sweet"],"publisher_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Mind and body","Monism","Theological anthropology--Biblical teaching","Theological anthropology--Christianity","Philosophical anthropology","Dualism (Religion)--Christianity","Soul--Christianity"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This dissertation defends the biblical doctrine of the soul against anthropological monism, including non-reductive monism.
