The author introduced ways to stimulate communication within the congregation using the appreciative inquiry method in structuring surveys and questioners that guided the conversations of the congregation during workshops and trainings. The purpose of this project was to discover the importance of space in a church's ministry of hospitality. Twenty-four persons from the congregation attended a six-week course during which they completed four assessments that were designed to measure their knowledge and skills in offering hospitality and evaluating the quality of the church's place for extending hospitality. The components of the project included researching the field of missions as it relates to UUPGs, developing a seminar to train the selected members of MVBC to adopt a UUPG, and equipping the selected members of MVBC to adopt a UUPG. Experts were enlisted to help establish a standard for both research and seminar component quality. The project director's professional goals included increasing the project director's knowledge of adopting UUPGs and skills in instructional theory and curriculum design. The process of developing a strategy included forming a strategy development team from local area ministers as well as lay church members who work with college students. This team was involved throughout the process of exploration, planning, development, and the preliminary stage of implementation. The process of implementation in regard to this project was to present the developed strategy to the Directors of Missions from Autauga, Elmore, and Montgomery associations as well as the Director of the office of Collegiate and Student Ministries from the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. The rejection of approval of this project by the Directors of Missions and the Director of the office of Collegiate and Student Ministries will not determine the success of the project. The goal of this project is to develop and present a strategy.
