In response to this problem the researcher explored the biblical foundations of preaching. he reviewed literature related to homiletics and communication with special attention to cultural formation in organizations. He conducted case studies by way of interviews to determine whether members of his church perceived this connection between preaching and cultural formation. As goes the man, so goes the family, church, and nation. The problem of men remaining disengaged from the gospel has ramifications for men and Christ's church. This project recaptures a biblical view of masculinity. An overview and assessment of the effectiveness of several ministries is given. Men's ministry initiatives of the Presbyterian Church in America are presented with the purpose of developing life-transforming discipleship of men within local churches. The researcher studied the biblical and theological natures of care and community and their interconnectedness to each other. He used qualitative research to conduct case studies of Ada Bible Church and North Point Community Church to identify transferable principles. This project asserts that congregationalism without a plurality of elders is unbiblical and unhealthy. It shows that over time the Southern Baptist Convention removed a plurality of elders from its congregational polity and replaced them with a democratic process. The research shows revived interest in a plurality of elders among Southern Baptists. The design of the project included the administration of a survey to ministry practitioners working in contexts that had achieved the numerical threshold of multicultural ministry. The results of this survey revealed that most churches who have already become multiracial have taken both intentional and relational steps toward achieving that ideal. The researcher explored the principles behind effective collaborative ministry on multi-point charges in the Peninsula-Delaware Conference of the United Methodist Church. Case studies were conducted on three Untied Methodist Charges showing evidence of effective collaborative ministry and mission. The researcher gathered information through interviews with pastors and laity, multiple site-visits, church-produced documents, and open-ended questionnaires. Following the pattern of four approaches in diaspora missiology: missions to the diaspora, missions through the diaspora, missions by/beyond the diaspora, and missions with the diaspora, both quantitative and qualitative data of the three selected North American congregations in mission ministries had been collected by a combination of multiple approaches. A five-point Likert scale questionnaire was distributed to 188 people, then collected, collated and analyzed. A God-moved heart through the gospel results in servant leadership. Christians apply the gospel as a discipline. Servant leadership literature focuses on practices neglecting inner-formation. However, virtue models consider inner disposition/character. An instrumental case study indicated that the gospel influenced how leaders treated and responded to others. However, spiritual development was foundational for only two leaders. Findings included the importance of awareness, gospel clarity, and the need to move from a virtues-based to a faith-based model of servant leadership.
