Then, the project director implemented the project by training selected members of First Baptist Church, Cookeville, Tennessee, with the best practices to disciple college students. The training seminar was taught on Friday night and the following Sunday morning. At the present time, Hopewell is a land locked, large church meeting on one campus in an older part of Gainesville, Georgia. The vision of the project director is that this large church will embrace this strategy in order to reach more people in the growing community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.The project director carried this project out in four steps. Step one was to explore the demographics of a five, ten, and twenty-mile radius of the church's current location. Step two was to explore existing multicampus models in order to obtain best practices. The third step was to develop a strategy for Hopewell Baptist Church, Gainesville, Georgia, to employ a multicampus approach. The project director used the Preaching Skills Enhancement Model to design the project. He began by researching the current trends in collaborative preaching and sermon preparation. Based on this research, he developed a process for sermon preparation that included collaborative skills. The director studied the effectiveness of this process by developing six sermons with a sermon-planning team of selected elders and lay leaders from Christview Christian Church. While some churches might be open to the idea of cross-cultural engagement, their discipleship process and methods tend to be greatly influenced by the dominant culture of the church and rarely influenced by the subdominant culture. This can hinder cross-cultural discipleship and engagement. In addition, one rhythm is glaringly absent in our discipleship: lament. Lament is essential to cross-cultural discipleship. This paper will explore the relationship between lament and cross-cultural discipleship. However, these qualities were limited to exclusively shepherding and teaching roles. Through preaching a 5-week sermon series, this project began to shape a vision of shared ministry and leadership in this local church among clergy and laity alike. The series used the APEST model of Ephesians 4, taken from the missional hermeneutic of Alan Hirsch. To do this, the use of ethnographic practices, particularly in-depth interviews, were used to demonstrate that listening is a way to show the community, in which the church is a guest, that it is loved. The church encounters people who are moving into the neighborhood in a variety of ways. As people move here, they add gifts, talents, and resources to the community. The dynamics of church growth were stated as a guide for faithfulness.  A survey among four Chinese churches in the U.S. east coast region was conducted, and another in a local Chinese church in Knoxville among its attendees was also conduct. These circumstances complicate making Biblical disciples, especially in an overseas environment. As pastors called to preach the gospel and make disciples, Army chaplains must discern how to fulfill the command of Christ while also working as an Army staff officer. Measuring whether growth is occurring may provide information to help chaplains keep what is working and change what is not. This project is designed to gauge whether chapels in an overseas environment, specifically Germany, are truly making disciples in accordance with the Biblical mandate. The research combines context, theological basis, and surveys of congregants to attempt determining which factors contribute to growth and which are unimportant.
