Using an equipping project model, the project director researched the field of personal worship and determined six best practices: prayer, bible study, meditation, praise, testimony, and service. He then developed a curriculum to equip the selected members of First Baptist Church of Chickasha, Oklahoma, with these six personal worship practices. Following a six-week format, the curriculum utilized a weekly group session based on a personal worship practice, followed by exercises and examples of expression of that practice. Coinciding with the curriculum, each selected member completed a pre-test and post-test, self-report questionnaire, and personal reflection as evaluations of the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains of learning. The author concludes that Darby’s sermons are an important resource that reveals that his ecclesiology and his eschatology are developed in a profoundly interconnected manner and reinforce one another."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131643221639168,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:50:45.443Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:01:27Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:16:46Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f3cd89da-d975-4750-8e01-d9683080521a","accessControl_ssim":["7b32b447-f069-430f-a93a-9e192d961132"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A Theological Curriculum of Church Revitalization From First Corinthians for Fellowship Church in Southwest Florida"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:01:26Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:05:31Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["abf14e1f-49f8-4581-b8d3-ccbb195eb1e6"],"hasLease_ssim":["2363aaeb-5af7-434e-bd00-97e05279dfe9"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Deron Biles Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2020"],"resource_type_tesim":["Dissertation"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Timothy Chad Pigg"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. The researcher wrote and directed a play based on Luke 1:26-35 using members of the Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church as actors and crew. The entire church was a participant of this research as the play was done during a Sunday morning worship service as part of the liturgy. The mixed-method approach presented the most viable pathway for this study and the researcher surveyed a cross-section of the congregation both as actors and audience members. The essential elements considered in using this method involved selecting the Scripture passage; observing the participants during rehearsals to determine their level of understanding of their roles and the motivation for their actions; and administering a survey to measure and analyze the effectiveness of the play in increasing biblical knowledge and inspiring transformation that would produce daily scriptural application. For a more objective case study, the researcher chose those members who presented with a limited understanding of Scripture and were interested in learning through their participation in the play. Rehearsals ran once a week for six weeks with additional rehearsals during the final week. The focus of the observation was on the conduct of the cast from week to week. The researcher assessed each cast member for transformation and changes in behavioral patterns. The findings suggest that using liturgical drama as a model for teaching the Word of God can be an effective teaching tool. The researcher claims that there is still hope of liturgical drama being a key part of the liturgy and worship"],"license_tesim":["https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"related_url_tesim":["https://cdm16120.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p16120coll4/id/1517/rec/13"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["fccbc3d7-874c-42e3-8a20-621b107c56c7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132805318574080,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:09:13.705Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:01:26Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:15:24Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"ebcca792-c6a4-4bae-98f8-3cb17f6d834c","accessControl_ssim":["37acda50-7ab6-44c7-b5f1-d582da03bbda"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A Critical Analysis of the Transmission of the Gospel to Spaniards by the Evangelical Church in Madrid"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:01:25Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:52:03Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["3e344619-212d-4f94-98ea-9480605807de"],"hasLease_ssim":["21b9cebc-d7ec-48d6-adc8-efcf89dc22f4"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"discipline_tesim":["Missions and evangelism"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Daniel Sanchez Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2020"],"location_tesim":["United States","Spain"],"resource_type_tesim":["Dissertation"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Wilson Fernando Dantas Soaris"],"keyword_tesim":["Evangelism"],"subject_tesim":["Missions","Cross-cultural studies","Missionaries--Training of of","Theology, Contextual"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Although the numbers show people responding positively to the Gospel in Spain, the Autochthonous People of Spain [APS] and congregations composed of Spaniards are not following the same pattern.
