The participants were evaluated by a pretest and posttest as to their knowledge, attitudes and implementation in two areas: spiritual conflict, and ministry through vocation. This thesis maintains that women meet God in the ordinary experiences of daily living and that these encounters are often overlooked, ignored, or diminished. Fifty-eight memories of God from childhood through adulthood are recorded in the women's own voices. The implicit challenge in this model is for the church to discover ways in which persons can continue to hear God's call in the ambiguity of their lives and find ever new and creative ways to respond to the living God on their own faith journey. The model of servanthood in the life of Jesus is used to inform the ministry of the local church in which the author is pastor through training and education, and the process of ministry in conflicts. The researcher preached a series of thirteen sermons to a church in Toronto, Canada. The same sermon was preached to two congregations each Sunday.  In one of the services the theme was illustrated by 35mm slides; in the alternate service, the same illustration was preached without visual support. Fifty-three volunteers of Venice Bible Church, (Venice, Florida) critiqued eleven sermons.  The listeners' learning styles were assessed using the Gregorc Style Delineator.  Four preaching styles were designed to correspond to the four dominant learning styles. Thirty-eight adolescents spent ten weeks of intensive examination of biblical truth in and out of class; they then invested one week in amissions experience.  Much of the classroom experience was adapted from Josh McDowell's and Rich Van Pelt's material.  The students were pre- and post-tested, using James Fowler's Faith Development Essay Instrument. The behavioral change targeted in this thesis was measured by two questionnaires distributed after two 'Friendship Sunday' worship services to which members of the local congregation had been encouraged to invite their 'seeker' friends.  The only difference between the first Sunday and the second was the treatment, the (ten) sermons.  The measure of success was a 10 percent increase in the number of church members who invited a 'seeker.'  By that measure the project failed.
