The activity chosen to implement the project training was a two-hour educational program that addressed the needs of institutionalized children, the ministry of the TBCH, and the advantages of foster home care for institutionalized children. The project director led 'Cults and the Family' conferences in three states utilizing materials he produced.  Conference participants were pretested and posttested to measure knowledge acquired in the conferences.  Postconference and follow-up questionnaires also were submitted to participants. A questionnaire determined spiritual disciplines that needed improvement, and a training manual was developed based upon the results. The experimental group received seven weeks of discipleship training from the project director.  This group then trained others one-on-one using the same material.
