Processes using small groups and congregational meetings were used to move the church through mission clarification, congregational assessment and goal setting.  A study was done of the compatibility of these methods with the fundamentalist Baptist theology of the church. A bi-monthly, six-hour spiritual enrichment cluster assisted pastors at their own level of spirituality.  Clusters included assignments and readings, discussion of two disciplines, and sharing progress in implementing the disciplines. Assessment instruments gave pastors a before and after evaluation of their individual progress.  Pastors registered not only an increased passion for God, but also personal growth in the fruit of the Spirit.  Daily times spent in prayer and reflection increased appreciably.
