The project corresponded with SVBC’s mission of “equipping and unleashing cultures and generations to authentically live out the Gospel everywhere” and addresses the importance of intercultural unity as a core biblical value.\r\n\r\nThe project’s approach integrates theological foundations, such as the imago Dei and imago Christi, biblical reconciliation, and the redemptive mission of God for all peoples, explored through a sermon series with themes of Identity, Lament, Reconciliation, and Mission. This theological framework sets the stage for qualitative research conducted through focus group interviews to analyze the perspectives of SVBC members on the impact of Cultural Diversity Month. Key findings include enhanced cultural awareness, new relational connections across cultural lines, and a deeper engagement with biblical themes of unity and diversity. Participants expressed a sense of shared identity in Christ, an appreciation for diverse expressions of worship, and a strengthened commitment to living out SVBC’s mission in their daily lives.\r\n\r\nThe project concludes with practical recommendations for SVBC, including steps for ongoing intercultural integration, the development of culturally sensitive outreach strategies, and strengthening SVBC’s mission through regular worship that reflects the congregation’s cultural diversity. Upon hiring the current senior pastor in 2009, the church began a substantial revitalization journey that continues to this day. One of the early steps was revising the church's bylaws, which nullified all previous policies and left the process for future policy development unclear. As a church grows numerically, developing the systems that support its growth becomes paramount. This project addressed one of those systems by proposing the establishment of a policy development strategy. The first part  of this project explored the field of church policies to determine the best process for policy development. The second part examined the current policies at Stetson Baptist Church to determine policy development needs. The third and final part established a policy development strategy for church council consideration. To accomplish this goal, I collected information about the membership and involvement level of new church members including LifeGroup attendance, DGroup attendance, involvement in serving, and a general survey of their familiarity with each of these as well as the church's core doctrinal beliefs. I selected three churches that assimilate new members well and researched their processes. I also created an annotated bibliography of relevant resources to guide this project. From the research, I identified and organized best practices. I also developed a strategic planning team to assist in discerning weaknesses in the church’s current process and needed improvements based on the research from other churches. The strategic planning team identified areas for improvement and created an assimilation strategy. First Baptist Somerset has a long history of planting, replanting, and partnering with churches for further  gospel impact. Over time, the need for articulation of best practices and clear guidelines for such partnerships emerged. To meet this need, I researched the area of church fostering, identified best practices, and presented the proposed guidelines in the form of a church fostering handbook.\r\n\r\nThis project followed the ministry research model of NOBTS professional \r\ndoctoral program and included the goals of researching the field of church  fostering and developing a church fostering handbook. Research included interviews with leading voices in the Southern Baptist Convention and an examination of existing models in the field. From the ministry research, a list of  best practices was synthesized and compiled into a church fostering ministry handbook. The resulting products of the project were sent to expert evaluators  for assessment and evaluation. The selected members who participated in the training were given the first opportunity over other associational church members. Preparations were made to solicit volunteers from the North Central Baptist Association (NCBA) if I could not reach Springhill’s membership recruiting goal. This preparation was unnecessary as Springhill took an active interest in the project.\r\n\r\nI researched children’s death-related data from local and international agencies that supported this project. The statistical data supported grief training at the layperson level. I studied both biblical and non-biblical death philosophies to gauge what people believed concerning the topic. Based on my research and learning, I wrote a grief recovery care curriculum that encompassed sermons, teaching lessons, and other pedagogical tools to equip selected members in grief recovery care. The pastor needed help administering pastoral care throughout the congregation as he could not provide adequate care to the entire congregation alone. Thus, Sunday school teachers and leaders received training in selected pastoral care competencies to enhance the ministry of the church as it continued to grow.\r\n\r\nI began by researching the field of pastoral care to identify essential pastoral care competencies. The congregation provided input regarding which pastoral care competences were essential needs of Thompson Baptist Church. With the competencies determined, I, as the pastor and project director, designed a training curriculum to teach the essential competencies to the adult Sunday school teachers and leaders. I researched the fields of personal and relational evangelism, seeking best practices and techniques to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. I produced annotated bibliographies on both personal and relational evangelism research and executive summaries of best practices for both personal and relational evangelism. Additionally, I researched curriculum and lesson plan writing, producing an annotated bibliography on my research, lesson plans, and curriculum for the training course.\r\n\r\nI selected a group of members from Millry Baptist Church (MBC) and invited \r\nthem to be part of the training course on relational evangelism. Ten of the fourteen people I selected agreed to be part of the training course. The training was eight sessions in length and taught on Sundays and Wednesdays during February 2024. With the proper support and resources, the formerly incarcerated can make meaningful contributions to their communities and experience significant benefits from religious institutions. The research supported these findings, demonstrating the need for educational materials for church leaders.\r\n\r\n\"From the Cell House to the Church House: Comprehensive Prison Release\r\nHandbook” provided church leaders a tool to understand the risks and advantages of having justice-involved individuals and their families in the church. The handbook contains information on prison release, church assimilation, and risk management. Not only is there ongoing confusion about the concept of the kingdom of God, but pastors also proclaim the gospel of the kingdom of God in a culture awash in pluralism.\r\n\r\n        Using a basic qualitative research design, this study conducted semi-structured interviews with multiple pastors experienced in preaching the kingdom of God. The interviews focused on gaining data with four research questions: 1) how do pastors describe the kingdom of God is at hand, 2) what challenges do pastors face, 3) what strategies do pastors use, and 4) what outcomes do pastors desire when proclaiming the kingdom of God is at hand to congregations living in pluralistic societies?\r\n\r\n        The literature review focused on three key areas to gain a broader understanding proclaiming the kingdom of God is at hand in a pluralistic society: the meaning of Jesus’s proclamation in Mark 1:15, the relationship between the church and the kingdom of God, and the practices of preachers who proclaim the gospel of the kingdom in a pluralistic society.\r\n\r\n        This study concluded that greater clarity is needed for pastors who proclaim the kingdom of God is at hand in pluralistic societies.
