For the Episcopal Church with a catholic heritage, this presents the opportunity for evangelism in proclamation, catechesis and worship.  One form of proclamation is the evangelistic call.  The project consisted of reporting on evangelistic calls that were unstructured and person-centered. Rewards were identified in three categories, i.e. Financial and Material, Status and Relationships and Spiritual.  The study method was in three parts.  The first was an analysis of ordinary and biblical usage of the word 'reward.'  the second was a questionnaire survey of all parish ministers in Baltimore Annual Conference.  The third was a series of three dialogue groups held among parish ministers in Baltimore Annual Conference. Its importance lies primarily in the fact that it can be utilized by the pastor while counseling in the local church.  The theory and practice of dream use has been used largely in the present century by psychoanalysts for the treatment of psychological illness.  This is the first attempt in a doctoral thesis to apply dream sequences of healthy females to the developmental tasks of the life structure for use by pastors in counseling.  It is my belief that the intentional awareness of the use of dreams can provide an approach to the care of parishioners which enriches all elements of the counseling process. The data collected revealed that there is much going on in church and community directed toward ministry to the elderly but not enough concern being given to the ministry of the elderly.  This means a valuable resource of knowledge, wisdom, and energy is not being adequately used. The study not only collected data to support assumptions and project new learnings but designed and tested a process for helping individuals and churches do some planning directed toward involving elderly in ministry. The study proceeded on the hypothesis that there is  correlation between a congregation's practice of confirmation and the perceptions of youth regarding their identity and participation in that congregation.  The project identified two models of confirmation ministry on the basis of predominate characteristics within that ministry.  Eighth and ninth grade youth from six congregations equally representing the two models participated in the interviews.
