This project portrays their experience of ministry together. It attempts to discern if these are working models of ministry in which persons from different socio-economic situation work together in mutual relationship of ministry. It sets forth their successes and what they have found to be obstacles in their lives together. A long-term sermon plan was developed and implemented using the book of Second Corinthians to impact the believers at Fellowship Evangelical Church towards spiritual growth. An instrument was developed and used to pre-test and post-test participants in order to measure the effectiveness of the messages preached. Measurable areas of spiritual development were developed, incorporated didactically into the series, and stressed throughout the preaching series. The analysis of the post-test shows a measurable change in some areas of spiritual growth. The primary purpose of the project was to utilize trained persons more effectively for the proclamation of the gospel.  Questionnaires were distributed to the congregation to determine the subjects for training seminars.  Entrance and exit examinations were given to gauge what participants had learned and how they had changed. The subjects of the seminars were the necessity of lay leadership, non-participatory and participatory ways of education, equality and impartiality, and types of leadership. The project demonstrates a 3-step process for training teachers to deal with three Bible passages: 1)interpret the text by analyzing literary characteristics and its literary and historical contexts; 2) explore the goal of Christian education and the learners' life experience, establishing a process for applying the biblical message accordingly; 3) teaching the Bible lesson by examining theories of learning, principles and methods of teaching, and designing a teaching/learning process compatible with literary genres and goals of Christian education. This project designed sample lesson plans relevant to the experience of Chinese Americans for three genres: Narrative, Wisdom, and Prophetic. Many Korean-American churches suffer due to the divisions caused by the generation gap and cultural barriers between the Korean and English-speaking congregations.  The Joy Korean-American Church created a model of 'blended worship' in order to overcome the disharmony and distrust, and to reconcile the differences of the two congregations. The context for this project is the Yang Jae Baptist Church located in the midst of Seoul's entertainment center, the Yang Jae District known as the 'Korean Rodeo Drive.'  One of the burning issues in the youth ministry of the church is the environmental impact of the area upon the youth, especially single parent teens, who are particularly susceptible to temptations such as drugs, alcohol, illicit sex and violent behavior. The context for the thesis project was the Stanwood Free Methodist Church which is located forty-give minutes north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Stanwood is a small village of aobut 200 people.  Most of the people of the church live in the country.  The design of the project was a case study using an action research model.  This model was used to effect a change in the given congregation's understanding, experience, and practice of the communal meal.  The thesis was evaluated along accepted lines of social research using a triangulation of methods including questionnaires, a focus group, and field notes.
