The researcher invited six Chinese-speaking pastors of different ages, genders, languages, and church sizes to cassette-tape three sermons before and another three after the teaching seminar. The sermons were evaluated according the list of essential elements designed for this project. The pre-test and post-test results showed that the pastors used 47% and 73% respectively of the elements, an improvement of 28%."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8322f611-a593-413a-8bcd-0011fba52dc7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130082316648448,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:25:56.848Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:25:49Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:35:34Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"9799fb0e-24ea-4e1b-9f37-3a817cd595c0","accessControl_ssim":["f86feaf9-1e6e-4a35-8078-e704a27e4c0a"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Faith formation for children: the role of the home and the church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:25:48Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:33:49Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["04df8827-c987-43b0-a34a-facf478c6b8c"],"hasLease_ssim":["13efeebc-8d6b-4889-a884-a2e6d26a12a6"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["J Bradley Wigger"],"year_tesim":["2001"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Rita B Hays"],"publisher_tesim":["Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Spiritual formation","Religious education of children"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Faith formation for children begins in the midst of family life. The project intersects church revitalization, missions, and biblical leadership. Its purpose was to empower a small group of lay people in the Hungarian Reformed Church (Columbus, Ohio) through a seven month training program to promote the revitalization of their congregation. Participants showed the greatest changes in their personal spiritual lives, in short-term planning for growth, and in formulating non-negotiable pillars of the church.
