Plans were developed to address relational, spiritual and emotional needs of persons living in Winder, Georgia.  The theological and biblical themes justifying the discovery of and ministry to particular human needs were developed.  Authorities in the disciplines of sociology and church growth were studied.  Sermons and survey instruments were created.  Community surveys were conducted and the needs of the focus group were prioritized. Drawing on these four studies she then concludes that the church will need a new kind of worker to share the gospel with the new generation of people in the 21st Century. Chapter three presents an investigation of the mentoring process and its uses in three extra-biblical settings (e.g. the relationship of Socrates and Plato).  Research into mentoring relationships in the medical nursing and education professions provided examples for using mentoring relationships in a church's evangelism ministries.  Chapter four described the twelve week process of equipping a selected group of members of First Baptist Church to initiate a mentoring relationship with specific emphasis on personal evangelism.
