Thenographic information concerning internal and external challenges was gained through questionnaires and interviews. The project director utilized the Transformational Church Assessment Tool and the Prompempo International Church Missions Profile to assess the current health of SURV Church.  A demographic study and interview with a Missions organization helped determine a wellness baseline.  The director studied the Bible, theological resources, and other healthy church practices to determine healthy indicators and best practices.  The project director developed a health strategy with the support of church members input. In this project in ministry, the project director researched fields of spiritual formation and family ministry, synthesizing his research into a listing of five personal and faith building essential skills, and created an experiential curriculum. In the first phase, the project director administrated a survey to former summer staff and incoming staff.  From the gathered data, he developed a spiritual formation profile.  IN phase two, the project director researched the area of spiritual formation to discover core practices.  He then compiled a report of best practices for spiriutal formation.  The project director began phase three by constructing a strategy deelopment plan.  Then he assembled a strategy team.  Utilizing the profile data and best practice report, the strategy team developed a spiritula formation strategy for summer staff. Statistics tell us that the vast majority of incarcerated men will be divorced either while they are in prison, or within the first year after their release.  The marital issues inmates face often are the same mindset that led to theri criminal thinking and ultimate incarceration.  Thus, if the project director can assist the men in divorce recovery, he can also assist them in becoming productive members of society who are equipped to live healthy lives. A total of 180 surveys were completed by evangelical chaplains (working chaplains, professors, CPE supervisors, and denominational directors).  Out of 180 participants, 136 completed all aspects of the survey.  The survey focused on practical theology or what chaplains believe and do.  Therefore, the results accurately portray the practice of evangelical chaplains working in the field of chaplaincy. This doctrine is placed at the heart of revitalization and considered in response to manifestations of sin in postmodernism, narcissism, materialism and consumerism. One of the most pernicious challenges of listening to sermons is distraction due to smartphone addiction. The purpose of this study is to examine how adult congregants of a local church engage in sermons amid distractions. The study employed qualitative research methods with fourteen adult congregants using semi-structured interviews analyzed with the constant comparative method. The research explored neurological, psychological and spiritual issues induced by digital technology.
