Multiple forms of demographic data were considered in order to identify the age ranges, socio-economic status, and behaviors that contribute to students becoming at-risk. Interviews with local and state agencies along with local school officials were conducted to ascertain what forms of assistance are available to students and if any proactive interventions are in place to prevent students from slipping into the at-risk category. The project included three main phases: research, strategy development, and presentation. Phase one researched demographics of Theodore, Alabama and numerous books on church planting, church revitalization, and church health. The project director also attended three workshops on church planting. An annotated bibliography was used to design a curriculum for phase two. Phase two selected a group of church leaders from First Baptist Church of Theodore who met for five sessions to study the best practices of church planting and develop a church plant strategy for FBCT. Phase three completed the project as the church plant strategy team designed a strategy and a written narrative before presenting the proposal to the deacon body of FBCT. Equipping selected adults with disciple-making skills for gender-based groups will potentially address the need for multiplication of disciple groups. Making disciples through gender-based groups to know and understand scripture will strengthen the individuals in their pursuit to be more like Christl. Disciple-making will become a key practice to help LifePoint attendees grow spiritually and multiply disciples. The project director used an equipping model with three phases to accomplish this project. Phase one of the equipping model was to research several different models of disciple-making, including small groups, Sunday School, gender-based groups, and mentoring, in order to discover common skills used to produce disciples. Phase two consisted of the project director synthesizing the skills discovered in the research into a training course. Phase three was the training workshop with selected adults. This method of generalized minstry reproducibility has produced sterile and ineffective churches that function in a way that is more similar to secular organizations that respond to industry trend rhat than rooted in the New Testament, reflecting the community of the Body of Christ.  The solution this situation is ministry reformation.  This project leads a church through a phase of minstry reformation as they discover their minstry purpose and identity through a shared leadership approach. The project director gathered and analyzed demographics information to more effectively understand the general composition of the population of the city of Sheffield, Alabama, and its surrounding communities. The project director explored the biblical models for evangelism and church growth found in the Bible, gathering resources to provide the strategic planning team with the necessary scriptural and historical support. Next, the project director interviewed pastors and church leaders whose churches are experiencing significant growth in areas with cultural and demographic similarities to that of York Terrace Baptist Church. Finally, utilizing the resources gathered, the project director and a strategic planning team developed an evangelistic, church-growth plan for York Terrace Baptist Church. During this 8-week project, students engaged in personal and communal spiritual grwoth activities using various technologies including Samford's learning management system, synchronous videoconferencing, text-based mobile applications, and a Christian video repository.  This project resulted in 50 percent of participants showing evidence toward attaining outcomes, which exceeded the goal of 33 percent.
