The focus of the project was to establish and lead a cross-cultural team, composed of pastors, ministry leaders, education specialists, and lay leaders drawn from VMCM membership, to develop a leadership training program and document that program in a training program plan. The objectives consisted of helping the participants to grow as disciples of Christ, recognizing their calling and value in discipleship ministry, and to engage them in a discipleship relationship with another man. The purpose of this project was to develop a system for ongoing training of qualified lay members in the church who could move into various core ministries.  The project consisted of eight Leadership Training seminars geared to prepare prospective leaders to assume leadership responsibilities.  Pre-and post-surveys and project objectives were used for evaluating the project. The spproaches used in this project will train pastors in the application of biblical based strategies, taken from Luke 5:1-11, guiding these pastors in community interview, leading to strategic relationships, and providing them with tools to effectively tap into untouched and undiscovered evangelistic opportunities. The model focused on God's missional pathway of discipleship that reveals a form of Synergistic Spiritual Transformation (SST).  The objective was to launch the model to revitalize discipleship within the leaders and members of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  The reserach revealed an increase in overall spiritual grwoth over the duration of the project.
