The project analyzes seven areas of belief and practice in relation to demographic categories.  Relevant characteristics include practice of spiritual disciplines, regular responsibility in the church, contentment with church, a sense of psychological well-being, age, membership status, income level, and length of time attending the church. The fellowship is made up of seven congregations and two faith ministries.  In this case study, 23 people who participate in MLEF activities are asked their perceptions of the relationship.  In their consensus, strong unity and cooperation exist among these congregations.  Such unity and cooperation had to have a common theological base and a strong relational foundation. Congregations need to see themselves as complimentary and not competitive. Data gathered by survey were processed with analysis of variance and a regression equation.  The independent variable was the pastoral succession rate and the dependent variables for church growth were average Sunday school attendance, average worship attendance, average professions of faith, and average annual payout of apportionments. The project distributed a 69-item questionnaire to 1,003 such women along with the Spiritual Well-Being Scale. The questionnaire assessed perceptions of well-being of ministers' spouses in five domains of life--self, marriage, work, church. and community. Although evidence of significant stress appeared in various domains, this population demonstrated spiritual and emotional health. Several factors could be correlated with a high degree of spiritual well-being: initial sense of call to ministry, self-efficacy and differentiation in home and church, healthy communication in marriage, financial support from congregations, and presence of support and friendships outside the church. The project explores three narratives--a novel by Herman Hesse, a film by Fons Rademaker, and the story of the healing of the daughter of Jairus as described in the Gospel of Mark--to trace the history of the object-relations school of psychotherapy, elucidating its relevance for the experience of trauma and describing that experience with special attention to its spiritual implications.  The project interviews 21 women, including members of a small control group, using the Characterizations of God Tasks profile.  Evidence of both Loving and Absent God representations in the unconscious of an individual is a predictor for presence of post-traumatic stress disorder. One hundred-seventeen pastors from the Missouri East conference of the United Methodist Church responded to a 20-question sermon-preparation survey measuring how pastors establish priorities, study time, resources, prayer life, planning, and techniques. The project selected 12 women ages 24 to 60, constructed a questionnaire, and administered it to members of the group in a 90-minute interview.  Responses were collated, analyzed, and reviewed with reference to psychological theory, church teaching on human sexuality, and criteria that define a basic or deepening level of psychosexual integration.  The project found that family and church are formative influences, along with mother-daughter relationships and the quality of core messages received in the earliest formative years.
