Primary research tools included questionnaries and interviews. Survey results indicate that a high degree of racism in established American congregations (both black and white) sometimes hinders developing relationships.  Ingrained cultural perspectives are problematic. Some Haitians and some established American groups are making significant advances in learning from one another. Principles of cultural anthropology are used to formulate a communication strategy.
