The method comes from a theology of administration based upon Paul's biblical themes of renewal, transformation, and implementation found in Romans 12:1-2.  The results are an initial acceptance of a three-year plan of administration together with goals for new ministries and programs. Evaluations of the project by church leaders are more positive toward the success of the church's ministry in the future. Couples are taught how to interview their partner using the structured interview guide to indicate areas of satisfaction and improvement.  The thesis proposed that the structured interview guide could be used as an instrument to improve communication between couples. The researcher found that married and remarried couples reported an increased satisfaction with their relationship as a result of using the guide. By means of surveys, informal discussions and formal counseling, he discovered what his congregation thought about baptism. By interviewing local ministers about their views on baptism, he discovered why some in his congregation held non-Presbyterian views on baptism.  The author preached four sermons, outlining the Presbyterian understanding of the basis, subjects, meaning and mode of baptism, and compiled a workbook on baptism, which was used in counseling parents who wanted their children baptised. Quite simply, one generation is having to take care of two generations.  This occurs as older members of society live longer than historically has been the case. Thus, the dilemma of the middle generation, identified as the sandwich generation, is exacerbated by caring for both children at home and elderly parents who need physical, financial, or medical assistance, creating a drain on the resources of all family members.  This project examines the factors contributing to this phenomena, primarily through a review of contemporary literature.  The project also addresses possible ways to alleviate the burden placed upon the sandwich generation, and what the future of the family holds if current trends continue.  The church should play a significant role in the life of the elderly. In so doing, it assists the sandwich generation in caring for elderly parents. The lack of systems support and tools for assisting these families both in and out of the church was met by adapting the Twelve-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous to the blending-family.  Eight couples spent nine two-hour sessions creating and working the Twelve-steps for the blending-family. This study shows that the context of the local church is now the mission field.  Therefore, evangelism must be a major element in the mission of the local church.  A socioeconomic and cultural study shows this community is much more diverse than people think.  Therefore, the church must be far more intentional and diverse in its contextual ministry. The aim of the course is to make students aware of the basic beliefs, practices, values, and general ethos of Protestants, Roman Catholics, and the Orthodox in order to provide a context for ecclesiological, ecumenical understanding.  The focus is a phenomenological approach that takes seriously the theology of the different traditions from their own particular perspectives. Differences are discussed along with similarities. Electronic media create a fundamental shift from a 'propositional' to a 'narrative' paradigm.  Worldviews fostered by the emerging electronic paradigm have much in common with the oral and manuscript cultures in which Scripture texts originated. The nature, foundations, and consequences of this shift are documented in detail, to support the thesis that participatory performance of Scripture is a powerfully effective mode of establishing and maintaining Christian community.
