Adult children find themselves attempting to balance concern for their parents, their children, and their careers.  With little or no understanding of elder care before it is thrust upon them, adult children need to learn about the physical, emotional and spiritual needs that accompany the aging process.  This project revealed a wealth of information not readily recognized by caregivers. To make the rite meaningful and relevant to the culture of the Hmong the writer used the process of inculturation.  Research on the meaning and method of inculturation helped the writer to discover how to apply it in the case of the Hmong people.  The writer also researched Hmong history through extensive reading, personal interviews of Hmong leaders at Holy Family Parish and participation in their religious and social activities. Research was done into the theological basis for dealing with conflict.  Literature as well as in-person interviews of Unitarian historians were used to draw a record of how Unitarians and Universalists have dealt with conflicts in the past.  Extensive use of personal interviews was employed to gather information from leaders, lay and clergy, of the congregations targeted for the study. Four couples from the ages of twenty-five to forty years old participated in a monthly seminar for a period of five months.  The group also met monthly as a supporting group for four more months.  Several surveys were given to determine if there were any changes is attitudes, behaviors and actions of the participants. Using agape as an attitudinal guide for cooperation, each congregation reaffirmed its history and identity, adopted a purpose statement based on its resources and community needs, and ratified a minimum base for cooperation with its yoke partner. A step-by-step description of how a Presbyterian pastor in a suburban Cleveland, Ohio, church led his congregation to offer such a ministry is provided.  Exegesis and interpretation of the vision of the last Judgment of Matthew 25:31-46 supports the ministry.  Results are evaluated in terms of the stated goals of the ministry and in terms of theological understandings. A research questionnaire that rated attitudes toward evangelism was developed for church members before and after the material was used.  The thesis was that attitudes toward evangelism would increase positively after the material's use and that results would differ as a function of the church's location.  Age, sex, length of membership, and holding of office were biographic evaluations of the data.  Only one church administered the posttest.
