I will investigate cultural changes, secular succession practices, and church leadership methods in an effort to show why it is important for pastors to take the lead in succession. This qualitative dissertation utilizes interdisciplinary archival research integrating theology, history of mission in the Middle East, diaspora studies, and anthropology to assess the role of relational networks in sending exogenous missionaries through diaspora ministries to Muslims. Arab culture operates on a web of formal and informal relational networks. The reason for the conflict is that western missionaries insist on western mode of Christianity, which overlooks Taiwanese religious culture and spirit. He  raised contextualization as the basis for articulating Gospel and missionary work.  It applied Dr. Enoch Wan's theory of Sino-Theology, which developed Relational Trinity,  on Taiwan's context and through Taiwanese history, culture and mind set to communicate the Gospel. The design of the project was based around a one-day seminar with a follow-up seminar four weeks later. There was an assignment to be completed by participants in between the initial and final sessions. Using an anonymous online survey and with the assistance of Boston Baptist College, graduates of the Boston Baptist College were asked to gauge the involvement of their home church in their precollege development as spiritual leaders. The project design included the administration of pre and post-test questionnaires. Results indicated the participants grew in their understanding of the components of true biblical community: faith development, worship, missions/service, fellowship, and evangelism. Their expressed commitment to practice these components rose, as did their willingness to advocate for them. The project director developed a training workshop using research and input from experts in small group leadership. She also attended two workshops: Leadership and Effective Small Group Training and Curricula Design and Development. The project director performed three phases in this project. In the first phase, the project director researched resources that specifically targed small group leadership skills and compiled an annotated bibliography. The second phase involved the development of an eight-week workshop curriculum. The first step involved an in-depth study of FBCH's attendance trends from 2005 to 2015 based on the annual church profile reports and recorded church history. The project director compared discipleship strategies of churches with similar characteristics and conducted a survey of church leaders to determine the current condition of FBCH discipleship. The research showed that FBCH plateaued in attendance from 2008 to 2013. The project director determined that FBCH needed a disciple-making strategy that led to multiplication and focused on transformation.
