Systems theory provides the necessary tools to navigate the anxious swells of the ministry environment. The primary objective was to educate couples on eight dimensions of intimacy and measure the impact on satisfaction and commitment. It was hypothesized that after receiving the education, couples would report increases in intimacy, satisfaction, and commitment. A convenience sample of ten couples participated in a twelve week marital enrichment program. Results indicated that participating in the program increased marital satisfaction and strengthened commitment. Participants took part in nine weekly group sessions and a culminating retreat, during which they helped in planning for the future of Merge as a program of the religious life office at Ohio Northern.  Growth was measured utilizing the Faith Maturity Scale. A group of 18-26 year olds will partner with a fifty-something pastor in sermon preparation for three months. The group will reflect on selected biblical texts and provide insights for sermon development.  Data from the group, the preached sermons, sermon evaluations, and interviews with key stakeholders will inform recommendations for next steps. The researcher identified eveidence showing that family of origin is influential in how pastoral leaders repsond to leadership stress in ministry.  A theological review in the Book of genesis revealed family of origin dynamics that influenced the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.  A literature review resulted in data that showed pastoral leadership to be uniquely stressful and family of origin dynamics to be life shaping. The degree of increase in the area of spirituality within the group was measured by two assessment surveys -- a pre-project survey and a post-project survey. The project culminated with the submission of art projects created by the participants through assistance of spiritual disciplines. The most prominent finding was that participants recognized the God moments in their lives. ANOVA with a pretest, posttest, and waitlist design was used to compare the change in dependent variables in relation to the independent variable PREP. The test group compared to the control group showed moderate positive effect sizes for communication and conflict resolution skills. Regarding marital satisfaction and intimacy no statistically significant changes were noted. The biblical review focuses on the principles of church planting modeled by Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Peter and Paul.  The literature review investigates church planting from a Hispanic perspective.
