The project goals were evaluated using a Likert scale and qualitative measurements. The assessment tool contained open and closed-ended questions. A panel of experts served a evaluators for the eight week Forgiveness curriculum. But scripture calls it 'prayer.' It is the foundation for a believer's spiritual growth, matures through the stages of discipleship, and its role is to align the heart of the believer with God's heart in Christ-like convictions, character, and conduct, daily reaching the goal, 'his heart, my heart.' This thesis/project trains thirty Christian college students with a forty day devotional on devotions using Matthew 6:5-15. The researcher selected these two case studies because they demonstrated a determination to evangelize their communities with the gospel. This passion manifested into a desire to minister to more people through a new worship service. The research format was both qualitative and quantitative in nature as the researcher used quantitative surveys, open-ended questions, personal interviews, church campus visits, and archival data analysis to develop a deeper understanding of the planning process. This researcher believed two factors contributed to a successful launch of a new worship service: clear, consistent communication by leadership and unity in the leadership team.  Research concluded this hypothesis was true. This researcher believes missionally-minded, evangelical churches often lead the way by breaking free of ineffective methods, reinventing the way ministry is done. Called the Reconciling Steps Approach, the model seeks marital reconciliation of physically or emotionally separated couples through a process of counseling steps. The author envisions that this model will be used primarily for counseling married couples who are part of the Christian faith community. The first chapter describes a theoretical foundation for multi-modal, action-oriented counseling controlled by the Christian world-view.  The second chapter explains the biblical and theological core convictions of the model and how these convictions guide the steps. The third chapter encompasses a literature review. A brief comprehension of AAP-A clergy couples' uniqueness is presented. Spiritual formation, conservatism, and expressive love are matters of concern for AAP-A clergy couples facing marital anxiety. The biblical theme of expressive love is the framework for understanding the personhood in need and key to marital health. Family systems theories support biblical principles to formulate a counseling approach that elucidates expressive love.
