The research focus was to assess each ministry against five hypotheses through the use of the Congregational Sexual Healing Questionnaire (CSHQ). Successful ministries offered healing from sexual brokenness because they are Biblically based and Christocentric; because they employ the use of healing prayer; because they offer different levels of grace centered accountability; and because they focus on both the past and the ideal future of their participants. The project's thesis question is: 'Can I create an alternative model that will help pastors increase their congregational midweek prayer meetings?' The author therefore conducted an ethographical study to find recommendations to share with church leaders and pastors. One on one meetings, group sessions and field trips were used to teach character and leadership traits. It requires ministering holistically to the body, mind, and spirit, and breaking the cycle of poverty. This project reveals the various causes of homelessness and outlines a customized plan of ministry to prevent homelessness, and to rapidly re-house those without shelter. The target population includes those that have been disenfranchised, economically disadvantaged, and the underemployed. One solution has been to prescribe the spiritual practice of Sabbath-keeping. Unfortunately, this raises multiple issues for the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) pastor. Therefore, the central question that guided this project was: How do SDA pastors practice and experience the Sabbath? The goal was to gain a thick, in-depth description of Sabbath-keeping. In order to accomplish this the project's strategy was rooted in a phenomenological form of research, namely the qualitative interview. The author researched scripture, theological sources, and psychological sources related to church alienation and worldview violation. He interviewed sixteen people identified as alienated from church using criteria of PTSD to evaluate if the participants display evidence of traumatic stress response. Each participant showed evidence of traumatic stress response present from worldview violation connected with religious beliefs.
