The primary focus of the class leaders is collecting money and attending to the physical well-being of their members in a limited capacity.  According to the general rules written by Wesley, attention should also be given to the 'means of grace,' or the practice of spiritual disciplines.  Doing so would significantly shape the lives of the members in their spiritual formation.  The researcher used pre and post surveys, lectures and small group process to gether, disseminate and integrate information respectively.  Readings in the areas of Wesley's class leader system and the spiritual disciplines were used to gain knowledge. The research project concluded that when persons were given tools and were intentional about learning and practicing the 'means of grace,' their spiritual journey was enhanced. The author researched whether confusion about cessationism in non-charismatic evangelical churches in southern Spain comes from the lack of a clear explanation of cessationism. The research method was to have 27 readers from 10 non-charismatic churches read a manuscript explaining cessationism and complete pre- and post-reading questionnaires to evaluate its usefulness. The results showed that the explanation helped reduce confusion about cessationism. Over 90% of the readers understood and affirmed it more. The scope of this research included full-time paid youth workers, senior pastors, and parent volunteers serving in ten local, protestant, evangelical churches in Columbia, South Carolina, and surrounding cities. Qualitative research procedures in the form of personal interviews were conducted with a total of thirty-six individuals using a set of predetermined, open-ended interview questions. This effort is framed by the Susquehanna Health Pastoral Care Department's transition from a center of clinical pastoral education to a hospital department comprised of professional chaplains ministering to the spiritual needs of patients, their families, and hospital staff. In this project, visual aids primarily referred to objects used in sermons for illustrative purposes. The researcher gave an extensive biblical and theological rationale for the use of visual aids in teaching spiritual truth. He also provided significant scientific evidence for the importance of the visual sense in learning and retention. The project incorporated an 8-week sermon series and a focus group to measure the effectiveness of visual aids with regard to retention.
