The project director researched effective disciple making strategies utilized by churches in similar demographic contexts to KLBC to learn principles applicable to KLBC's ministry. The project director increased his knowledge in disciple-making strategies and his skill in strategic planning. A strategy planning team was selected and trained to develop a disciple-making strategy based on the demographic research and other disciple-making strategies discovered by the project director. Twelve members of the Cornerstone academic community reviewed the model and evaluated the effectiveness and appropriateness of the textbooks, individual assignments, learning team assignments and in-class activities. Matthew"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The author's purpose was to use creative stories (self-written and/or collected) to illustrate and illuminate the Beatitudes of Matthew 5:1-12 so they might be more easily incorporated and retained in the lives of hearers.  Over a period of 13 weeks the author presented stories over each beatitude, using pre-tests and post-tests, to measure any changes on the participant that may have been a result of the story's influence.  One week after the story the author presented a sermon on the previous beatitude to help underscore the point of the story itself.  At the beginning and end of the project, spiritual growth assessment inventories were administered to determine any overall changes in attitude and action. The biblical and historical basis for peace and reconciliation was developed. An integrated conflict transformation model was created and submitted to ten significant Christian and Muslim leaders for evaluation. Research was conducted regarding the psychological development of teenagers and how their development relates to interpersonal relationship skills. Current research in books, journals, and online resources were used for further study of interpersonal relationship skills. Several high school counselors were interviewed to find out how these skills impact students in schools. The purpose of the project was to equip lay leaders, in order to fashion, field, and lead an adult leadership team. Goals included: (1) enhancing church leadership and ministries; (2) improving the image of the church in the community; (3) replicating leaders throughout the body; (4) repairing damage from discord and abating internal conflict that has stifled the church's progress over the years. Consulting numerous print and electronic journals, ongoing leadership training programs and pastors, the project director designed a biblically-based teaching module that addresses spirituality, leadership skills training, gifts analysis with service opportunity, and conflict resolution. Another important element is evaluation of the trainees, director, and overall program effectiveness.
