The other four sessions will concentrate on four roles of a father.  These roles are the father as a blesser, a priest, a teacher, and a disciple maker. This project focuses on what churches can do to address more effectively these needs and thereby provide important support and encourage church involvement and satisfaction. The project examines the information gleaned from extensive interviews conducted with seventeen midlife individuals from the same congregation. The interview responses cover four areas: 1) midlife experience, 2) spiritual needs, 3) diversity, and 4) church involvement and satisfaction. From the responses, five specific spiritual needs are identified. They are: vision, staff, lay leaders and core volunteers, finances, location and facility, ministries, technology and equipment, governance and operations structures. Nine churches that have successfully launched multi-sites were selected as field participants.  A developed survey was administered to the participants and the results analyzed to validate or invalidate the hypothesis. Congregations established in faith and doctrine may examine and utilize the language, philosophy and training examples of several successful hospitality businesses to provide a welcoming environment and offer ministry opportunities to guests and first time visitors.  The author researched three business and two churches to compare intentional hospitality processes, examined the congregation's statistical data, assembled several presentations, and educated the congregation of the results. It is the primary work of the church and the way the faith community partners with God in God's redeeming work in the world.  However, the ministry of the church can often serve as a shallow substitute for a vital relationship with God.  Luke's presentation of the early faith community in the book of Acts elevates prayer to its essential role in shaping the life and ministry of the church. Continuing that faith is a problem facing its multi-national members living in North America since the late eighteenth century. Specifically the problem centers on a single parish in Berkley, Michigan where second and third generation descendants of Middle Eastern immigrants are losing interest in the church and the cultural heritage of their parents.
