Ten participants completed the workshop. A survey assessed participant's growth and development in biblical understanding, use of skills, appreciation for and willingness to exercise prayer, as well as self-esteem in regard to personal contributions and sense of partnership with God and others. The data supports the value of a workshop to equip teams. The implication of this project is that there is power in unity and sharing the tasks of ministry. This project describes the organization and execution of a discipling ministry as one part of an overall campus ministry effort in a Christian college.  The purpose of the campus discipling ministry was to strengthen and nurture the spiritual formation of students.  Eighty students who had participated in the formal discipling ministry completed Likert assessment tools.  The data was compiled and analyzed, discovering the strengths and weaknesses of the student discipling experience. The author evaluated the development of these traits in seven Brazilian seminarians during a four-week missions internship in Paraguay.  Self-reporting, participant observation, national informant observations, and pre- and post-internship testing involving the Intercultural Competency Scale were used for evaluation. Two control groups were also utilized.  Few students evidenced growth in intercultural sensitivity.  The internship apparently deflated the cultural expectations of others.  Considerable growth was noted in adventuresomeness, though not verbal boldness. Eleven of these institutions are in North America.  The emergence of spiritual formation offices on each campus is a rather new development.  This project describes and critiques spiritual development programs at four Nazarene universities in North America.  The study explores the interaction between a Wesleyan understanding of sanctification and spiritual formation. Information gathered through open-ended interviews was used to determine what programs were most effective. The pastoral epistles of 1-2 Timothy represent a look into what leadership ministry should look like.  This is a specific church situation with actual directions of what is to be done there, and it directly confronts many of the models used today.  This project is an examination of the Timothy material and a survey of a specific denomination as to how that material is seen and used. Ministers in the field and deans of Bible colleges and seminaries were asked to evaluate Paul's instructions to Timothy in their own sphere of ministry. Prevention and intervention strategies were evaluated, resulting in recommendations to bring healing to and reintegration of pastors into career ministry.  Emphasis is placed on a mentor/friend relationship to guide both minister and family through the transition. One strategy is intentionally to preach these long books in multiple series with significant calendar breaks.  This is motivated by a commitment to the inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of the Scriptures and to regularly preaching expositional series.  This project involved preaching Romans as a model of this non-sequential strategy.  In addition, twenty-six preaching pastors were surveyed and multiple group evaluations were held as Romans was preached. The categories for this descriptive analysis include their homiletic structures, strategies for interpreting the Bible and its uptake in the delivery of a sermon, and observations concerning actual sermon delivery.  Having analyzed and described these styles of preaching, the project author further engages them through an exercise of replication whereby these particular styles are imitated in sermons composed by the project author and preached to a congregation-based focus group.
