The student is introduced to four spiritual disciplines.  They are having a daily devotional time with God, sharing a personal salvation testimony, tithing, and serving with spiritual gifts.  After a ten-week class, the project was evaluated through questionnaires and focus groups. The project drew its focus on a ten-week training seminar and a five-week in-prison disciple-making program to inmates.  Statistical analysis revealed that the ministry team was effective in discipling the men.  Chapter 1 gave an introduction to the goals and purpose for the project.  Chapter 2 addressed the biblical and theological issues surrounding the challenges of disciple-making. The project director trained and led a strategy development team composed of four Texas Baptist Student Ministry directors and two university students to develop the peer mentoring strategy.  The strategy development team and project director met together in six ninety-minute sessions. The first three sessions were devoted to demonstrating the need for a peer mentoring project with Texas Baptist Student Ministers and preparing the team to develop such a strategy.  The final three sessions focused on developing goals and objectives for each category of the strategy.  Following the sixth session, team members worked independently to complete the remaining parts of the strategy. The project director compiled and edited the final written strategy.
