The author researched both the history and the methodology of prayer in the cell context.  The resulting 'prayer life' church-wide emphasis combined large group teachings with self-study materials and small group discussions and activities designed specifically to work within the cell-based church environment. Major factors that intervene to produce this disparity are denominational structures, educational requirements, racial and cultural influences. In Caucasian churches, ministers seem to be in paid staff positions while in African-American churches, many ministers (excluding pastors) are in positions with little or no compensation and appear to do many voluntary functions. Women in both types of churches are underutilized and seem to be in supportive roles. In May 1882 the Church of England inquired about the possibility of the Salvation Army coming under the authority of the Church of England.  One of the irresolvable issues that prevented this union was the sacrament of the Lord's Supper.  By randomly surveying Canadian Salvationists the author discovered that they are neither aware of the historical circumstances surrounding Booth's decision, nor could they articulate its biblical non-sacramental position. Nine couples participated in a study designed to teach husbands and wives how to pray for each other in the context of daily life. The Intimacy Needs Survey (Bagarozzi, 2001) was used as the pretest-posttest instrument to measure changes in the couple's perception of intimacy. Analysis of the raw scores indicated 89 percent of the couples reported an average of 30 percent increase in intimacy. The subjects were the pastors of churches that were visited and where conferences were attended as part of the 2001-2002 Beeson Pastor Program of Asbury Theological Seminary. The findings of this research suggest that mentoring makes an important contribution to the development of pastors. Although the major systematic theology texts do contain many of the riches Christ has purchased for us in salvation, the vast majority do not separately list and discuss God's riches of grace as a distinct subject. Bernice McCarthy's 4MAT learning style instrument, the Learning Type Measure[registered trademark] (LTM) was used to profile 111 students.  The results showed two significant differences in style distribution from studies done in the United States.  The collaborative learners were represented in 45 percent of the student body (17 points above similar Western surveys).  The dynamic learner was drastically underrepresented at JETS with only 7 percent of the student body (as compared to 20-25 points in the West). Statistics were also analyzed by age, gender, culture (country of origin), and college major or program of study in an effort to detect any relevant patterns. All of these factors were found to have an influence on an individual's learning style--some more than others.  Eighteen faculty members participated in this study.  They were first given the LTM.  Later they were given McCarthy's Teaching Style Instrument[registered trademark] (TSI).  Results showed that the teaching styles of 60 percent of faculty were congruent with their own learning styles.  There was a significant amount of mismatch between faculty teaching and student learning styles, depending on students' age, gender, and choice of study program.  Suggestions were given on how to teach through McCarthy's learning cycle so as to address all learning styles present. The research method is based on qualitative research including 35 male drug addicts who were in the Operation Dawn as the subjects in this study.  These methods also include getting to know the drug addicts, in-depth interviews, and lastly forms theory.
