It asked if their leadership style was congruent with or impacted by the denomination's theology.  Following an overview of the history and theology of the Brethren in Christ, an argument was presented for servant leadership as the leadership style suited for this denomination.  A biblical basis for servant leadership and the spiritual formation of the leader was developed.  Robert Greenleaf's work on servant leadership was reviewed, and his impact on current leadership practices and their congruence with Christian authors was assessed.  John Ortberg's work was used to develop a scale to measure felt and observed leadership/servant qualities.  The core values of the denomination provided a way to measure the theological commitments of its pastors. Twelve experienced African-American clergy were selected to evaluate the manual using closed and open-ended questions.  The manual was rated as most effective in helping clergy discern the leading of God in conflict situations.  The manual also received high ratings in terms of its ability to help African-American clergy become more aware of how their values, beliefs, experiences, and history affect their ability to manage conflict. The core values of the China Ministry for the FLCF have essentially five aspects: evangelism, church development, spiritual formation, servant leadership, and teamwork.  This initial communication of the core values made a substantial impact on the leadership of the FLCF.  The greatest impact of the training program of was in terms of the participants' willingness to adopt the core values in their ministry--especially the core values of servant leadership and teamwork.  Their attraction to the core values had increased moderately. Their understanding of the core values had improved somewhat. Interestingly, as a whole, their belief in the core values increased, but less than belief in some areas of the core values. This research was an evaluative study that utilized a pretest, posttest, and focus group design with no comparison group.  The sample for this study included three churches of diverse theological identities.  Three scales were used in this research: the Religious Behavior Scale, the Christian Orthodoxy Scale, and the Religious World View Scale. The field for this discipleship is the literary structure of the gospel of Matthew.  The participants were five disciple-makers within the Trinity United Methodist Church of Gibsonburg, Ohio. The study consisted of an opening questionnaire filled out by each individual, a twelve-part seminar on dreams, participant dream journals, and a closing questionnaire to determine what changes occurred in the attitudes which the participants held toward dreams.
