Relying on the tenants of process theology the author developed a process for dissolving the stuckness of this place in relationship to ministry.  This process involved training members of the congregation to interview persons about their perceptions of the history of Twelve Apostles Church. A study experience is conducted in two churches served by the author.  The study included both an introduction to feminist theology and ministry as well as an evaluation of the author's ministry in relation to these perspectives.  Also, thirty churches were surveyed, fifteen served by clergywomen, fifteen served by clergymen. An attempt is made to determine whether lay people's perception of ministry changes after experiencing a woman as pastor. The format is a non-residential facility receiving probationary or paroled offenders referred by the court or self upon release.  The client reported twice weekly for twelve months and received spiritual and psychological support and a full range of social services for self and family.  Insights from process theology provide the theological perspective. The writer also developed a workbook-journal, 'A Consumer's Guide to Personal Religious Beliefs,' for use by the unchurched and evaluation by the writer.  Research revealed a high level of religious thought among unchurched participants.  Content was almost equally representative of Eastern and Western religious systems.  Participants were primarily interested in religious ideas that answered questions about how God operates in relationship with the world and life after death. The speaking abilities of these individuals were tested by means of the Bryan-Wilke Scale for Rating Public Speeches before and after their exposure to the weekly training sessions. Data were gathered through a written questionnaire.  A graphic comparison method and other complementary instruments were adopted in terms of a discrepancy model.  Among ten subject-matter areas, the results show the area of biblical knowledge as most in need of continuing education.  This is followed by evangelism-church growth and biblical-historical-systematic theology. Seventh-day Adventist heritage and pastoral care place adequately in the middle range.  Church administration placed higher than church history-comparative religion and biblical languages. Pastors with graduate education gave evidence of greater doctrinal-biblical knowledge and a small advantage in ministerial skills.  Motivations and deterrents in regard to continuing education are listed. A group of sixteen mid-life men were administered the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale.  The group was then divided into test and control groups of eight men.  The test group met in a weekly counseling session with the author where basic relationship building skills were implemented for twelve weeks.
