As their ideas of 'faith' were enlarged, the group, in conjunction with the Christian education committee, designed curriculum and courses whereby the educational needs of thecongregation were addressed. Furthermore, Jesus, as epitomizing this symbol, demonstrates that the most significant characteristic of the heart is its vulnerableness to the love of God. Therefore, a secondary premise of this thesis is that human vulnerability, as a posture of faith, is essential to human self-fulfillment. Being penetrated is not necessarily a contradiction to be avoided but can lead to opportunities for human growth and entrance intod the Kingdom of God. In line with this premise, Jesus has been interpreted (functionally) as the Mediator who reveals the Fatherhood of God as grace and compassion on the one hand and, on the other, that the true posture of faith is seen as a vulnerable heart. The last chapter argues that the Fatherhood of God, revealed in Jesus as compassion and grace, contains feminine characteristics which posit genuine vulnerabiity of God's nature which can be held together in an androgynous model."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799715430997164032,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:46:23.381Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:13:00Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:57:56Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"8ace75ac-3b3b-4405-b12f-4654e12eaeb7","accessControl_ssim":["9e368084-7514-4bf8-848d-403e28630dc5"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Biblical perspectives on world hunger"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:12:59Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:12:15Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["50667772-1860-4380-a562-291a873fd306"],"hasLease_ssim":["bc109cbc-71e0-47dd-b532-d2b424d0d69a"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Boston University"],"advisor_tesim":["Harrell F Beck"],"year_tesim":["1981"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Darrell Kent Huddleston"],"keyword_tesim":["Prophets in the Old Testament"],"publisher_tesim":["Boston University School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Sabbatical year (Judaism)","Covenants--Biblical teaching","Hunger","Kingdom of God","Poor--Biblical teaching","Developing countries","Christian stewardship","Imperialism"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The proposed topic of this study is that the biblical material has as one of its pervading themes God's special concern for the poor and hungry. In addition, a section on theology and 'rational assent' were included in the report. After identifying at least seven areas of consideration in which attitudes were expressed regarding ministry with persons who are mentally retarded, the report concluded that one's personal motivation and theology are especially significant, and often most helpful in the formation of attitudes which influence the establishment of ministries with persons who are mentally retarded."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lancaster Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["77231467-10ce-4737-858a-8cc38e70a4f9"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1851873084852666368,"timestamp":"2025-12-18T18:49:58.267Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:12:32Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:43:57Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"87735869-5ea3-42bf-832a-918e1663392e","accessControl_ssim":["2251fb83-2809-4090-a9df-5f76312dc179"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Process theology perspectives in applying multiple family therapy to chemically dependent families"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:12:31Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:07:15Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["16ab584e-e976-427a-81e7-71bda8e63f5a"],"hasLease_ssim":["c5fd6913-5bcf-4bc5-a8ea-8985e6fab19a"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities"],"advisor_tesim":["Lance R Barker","Martin Heist"],"year_tesim":["1981"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["James L Harmon"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities"],"subject_tesim":["Family psychotherapy","Process theology","Pastoral counseling","Drug abuse"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The project describes a pastoral approach to recovering chemically dependent families.
