He used the qualitative research methodology to guide the project. The result of the study was the discovery of twelve important elements of a mentoring relationship. The author learned that these elements, when consistently emphasized, should lead to a gospel-centered, grace-oriented mentoring strategy that will avoid the extremes of cheap grace and moralism. Theological foundations, ecclesiastical and canonical concerns are carefully addressed.
